Hi Nemkal,
Do you want to add table as <table><td></td></table>
or do you want a visible table where you can enter the number of rows and column?

There a website called URL which has a very good web editor.
Check that out.

Thanks,
Deepika

Angry There's nothing about table

Dear Deepika,

There's nothing about how put html table code in WYSIWYG editor at www.xefteri.com.
I've tried hard to find something about that in several sites.

Hi,

I use the WYSIWYG editor on my site now.. and I used the following code to add a table...

in the editor file add this code:

function ShowInsertTable()
{
borderShown = "yes";
inserttableWin = window.open('table.html','','width=500,height=400, scrollbars=no,resizable=no,titlebar=0');
}

then assign the function name ShowInsertTable() to a button in your editor like this...

<img alt="Insert Table" src="table.gif" width="21" height="20" onClick="ShowInsertTable()">

(see the attached image somewhere on this article to use as the table icon...you can always use your own!! )

Then create a page called "table.html". There is too much code to list here, but if you go to this website: http://mfacer.users.btopenworld.com/table.html that is my personal webspace and will get you the code you need to use as the popup to enter the table.

I hope some of this helps!
Let me know if you need anymore!

Kind Regards,

Yeah, I'm doing something like that.
The difference is, how I'm doing something specifically to IE, I'm using showModalWDialog. It's better than opening a normal window.

Regards!

Smile showModalDialog

I'm sorry. The method is showModalDialog. I wrote "showModalWDialog".

Take a look in http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/....asp?frame=true

There's an explanation about it.

I can help you, if you need more details.

Regards.

Hi All,

Thanks for your help Deepika,csartori and Matt Facer.

Matt Facer your solution worked fine.Thanks a lot.

For default font in IFRAME style dont work.Try this.

function populateContent()
{
setTimeout('populateContents()',1000);
}

function populateContents()
{
document.frames.Contents.document.execCommand('Sel ectAll', false);
document.frames.Contents.document.execCommand('Fon tName', false, "Arial");
document.frames.Contents.document.execCommand('Fon tSize', false, "2");
document.frames.Contents.document.execCommand('UnS elect', false);
document.frmName.txtContent.focus()
}

body onload call populateContent()

Regards
Rajeevi Nemakal

Question ???

But this code will change the iframe font to Arial in each second.
If the user format the text to another font, will your code change it?

dhtml editor

Hi everybody,
I was working on the MSHTML control before but then I saw the dhtml editing component(active x ) and also found a whole lot of code including table operations. I know that this contrl is no longer supported by microsoft but it gives a lot more functionality without writing a lot of code.

If anybody needs help with a code write to me!
Thanks
Deepika

Hi Fakker,

The table code works well as long as the focus is set first.

Otherwise it inserts the table above the wysiwyg editor.

Many Thanks,

Send a message via Yahoo to fakker
hey,

I think it is possible... not sure how though.... I spose you'd have to get the current cell ID ... then count the number of columns or rows... then redraw the new number.... I wouldnt know where to start with it though!

I'll let you know if I ever get anything!!

All the dhtml active x object documentation is up at the MSDN site. Note that it is no longer supported by MS - and, it's IE-dependant.

The link to your insert table code is dead. I'm developing a WYSIWYG editor based on IE's design mode and I would like to add an insert table dialog that would transfers the entered data directly to the iframe that serves as the page under construction. Could you send me the table dialog code? My address is starrauthor@yahoo.com.
