Is CDONTS Object Require Some SMTP Settings

I'm Using CDONTS object for sending mails ....code is executing properly but in reality i don't receive mails from application in asp
Is there any settings for using CDONTS for SMTP SERVER

Have you checked that the SMTP service is running on the box, and that in IIS, SMTP is running?
