old Qbasic conversion

Hello, I just discovered this forum while looking on the net for some scripts.
Since a few years I have a problem but I don't know if this is the right place to ask for help or advise.
I manage a little hotel in belgium where the entrance is automated by a money machine. Doors works with contacts en to see if rooms are free, we use motion detection.
For all this I found 11 years ago someone who made all the prints en interface's, the whole system is connected to a computer on which a software program written in Q-basic is working.
The software is still working fine, but it is only working in DOS and in full-screen, no way to have it function in a DOS-window under Windows.
My question is now : should it be possible to convert the programm code from Q-basic into a newer programming language (C, php script, etc ????) so it can work in a windows environment and we can control the business on a remote base over the internet.

Although I can't really remember much from my QBasic days, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to rewrite the code in VB quite easily.
