i am trying to create a program that will say whether certain e-mail has ben received, the way idecided to do this is to filter the e-mail in Outlook to a specific folder, then get a script done in visual basic, to run automatically at set time intervals, this will then change the caption in a text box to 'Received' or 'Outstanding', basically stating to whether the e-mail is there or not. My problem is that I don't know whether this can be done or not, does anyone know if it can, and if it can how its done??
ant help on the problem will be greatly appreciated |

Check out the "rules wizard" in Outlook. It allows you to do almost anything. You define what the email must look like (certain content, from a certain person, etc), then you say what you want to do when that certain email arrives. You can do things like, start an application, run a script, perform a custom action, play sounds... it's essentially limitless.
