Question Hi

I am doing a project in which i have to generate reports. I am using crystal 8.0 for reporting. I am sending data fetched from tables to report(.rpt) i,e crystal report file to preprinted invoice form. like

company name
address... etc covers some area

details section

1 placed here the database field

(printing 4 records to three lines each)

details section ends

report footer section
placed some more data base fields like tngst, cst etc, invoice total.

we have made alignment in the report footer section data taking into consideration the 4 records of 3 lines each in the detail section. When i am printing the invoice with 4 records the alignment in the report footer section is not affected. But when the record is reduced to say 1 or 2 of three lines each then the data in the report footer section is shifted upwards in the vertical direction and does not print in the desired position. If this kind of question is posted earlier then i am very sorry for posting again. if so kindly direct me. Thanks in advance for helping.

senthil

You can convert .rpt file into .txt file by using CrystalReport object in VB form.

1. Right click on CrystalReport object then select Crystal Property.
2. In General Tab select "To file" option.
3. Now select "Print to File" tab.
4. Click on file browser button and select the folder where you want to place the file and provide the file name i.e. report1.txt.
4. In same tab select 'Text' in PrintFile Type select box.
