Urgent: Differents File Types to open in a VB program (Pls read to know more)

does anyone know how to do open files in visual basic? i mean like a program you got a OPEN FILE menu right? then you can state for opening what kind of files right? where can i actually get infomation on opening different kinds of file?

right now i have opening of only jpeg and bmp file types..i need to import more graphics file types (e.g *.tiff). Forget to add..i'm doing a basic Imaging program right now.
