View Log Files
Hiya!

Does anyone have any code which will allow me to view Log Files of my site (I'm hosted with oneandone.co.uk) please?

I've found the article about it on this site, but when I try and download the finished product (support files), it just takes me to the main page

That's fairly vague... I looked at their site and they offer Windows and Linux hosting, so uh, what TYPE of log file are you trying to open? Are you talking about the custom log files of site activity, or system log files from Windows, or what?

I'm hosted on a windows server, and trying to view the log files that it automatically creates (it supposedly tells me bandwidth etc)

What is the extension of the file? If it's the IIS logs for your virtual directory, you can view them in MMC (Start->Run->MMC)

I'm not hosting the site, so I can't just view them from my computer. I have to download them using my FTP connection, hence the reason for trying to get a log file viewer working (because the log files are 11MB+ and I only have a 56k net connection)

Note that there is no built-in log viewer per se (that i know of). But you can write you own in ASP fairly simply using the MSWC.IISLog object supplied w/ IIS.

That's the article I've been reading, but when I try and download the support files (to get the finished code), it just takes me back to the index page of devarticles, and doesn't download

Would you be able to send me the code or post it here please?
