| Wall St lower amid concern on economy (FT.com) FT.com - Wall Street stocks were modestly lower on Thursday morning, weighed down by news of a probe in the medical devices sector and concern about the economy. By midday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average eased 0.2 per cent to 10,517.58, while the S&P 500 index was 0.1 per cent off at 1,182.53. The Nasdaq Composite index lost 0.2 per cent to at 2,000.77. Todd Leone, head trader at SG Cowen, said a sharp swing in crude oil prices in the last two sessions made for jitters among market participants and attributed much of the rally in the prior session to seasonal factors.
