C++ Builder on Windows 8

Hi, I found it impossible to install Borland C++ Builder 5 on Windows 8 Pro. Setup.exe does not start in any way, not even in XP compatibility mode. Has anyone encountered the same problem and they would tell me a solution?
Thanks in advance.

I've been having the same problem in my VM. Haven't found any solution so far but hopefully someone will come up with one sooner rather later! Please post here if you find a solution.

Have you emailed Embarcadero for help in this case for a solution.....? They own Builder now(BTW C++Builder 6 runs fine in Windows 7,you may want to go back to that instead of Windows 8).

I've had the same problem but I've found a solution for C++ Builder 6.0: just instal BCB on Windows XP, installa a setup program like InnoSetup e recreate a full setup. This setup works on Windows 8 machines, maybe because MS doesn't know anything about it!

I've wrote a tutorial and a sample script that you can download for free from my website: linformatica.com

AW: Name für eine Bar

Hi all,

I am working on a bit of VBA code for MS Access and need to check if a certain field exists in a table.

My VBA skills are a bit rusty and google is no help at all.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Martin
