Serial communication using CodeWarrior

hi. i'm new in using CodeWarrior. would like to enquire if functions like OpenSerial, CloseSerial, WriteSerial, SrmSend and etc that is declared in SystemMgr.h are for transmission of data via serial com port or USB port from my PDA? also, if I send data thru the USB port (HotSync cradle port), will the codes still be the same ... can i still use functions mentioned obove?
