Using control keys

Hi guys,

I am trying to create something like this -

You are trying to login - you've to enter the id and password - so the cursor keeps blinking here

# Enter id : |

and then the password field will appear.

But at the same time if someone presses the Esc button then the previous welcome screen will appear ...... or say someone presses the F1 key and a new screen will appear with all helps etc.....

If I was unable to make myself clear - then think of the bios screen or something like that where you have (at the bottom) something like :

|Exit Esc: Help F1 : Save F10 |

But I have no idea how to do it................ So please help......
