Access Database Question

Hi There,

I am new to Access 2007 and have the following question that I'm hoping someone will be able to answer in "first grader" terms and not VBA code, etc...

I have two tables created:

Action Items (Table)
Engineering Projects Major Information (Table)

I created a report from the engineering projects table that lists all the open projects. The question I have is now I would like to create a field on my report that counts the number of incomplete action items and lists that quantity according to project.

Is this something that can be easily done without having to re-format my queries?
