database and images

1)I have uploaded images into my MySql database and now need to display the images within the website using PHP script, but the first attempt only display the name of the image only. I need some advice on how to pull the images from the database and put them inside the website.
2)What would be the path to the database?
3)How do you work with links in database. After the image is display within the website, I would like it to be also a link to another website once clicked upon.

Thanks,

Clint
