DataBase Design Suggestion

Hi friends,

I am currently modelling database.I got one doubt about the bestmethod in application development with database.

I am using Hibernate for object relational mapping.

Is it best to model database first and then design classes accordingly or first design the class and then model database correspondingly....

I am not experienced in this filed.So it is question striked in my head.

u definitely should design database model firstly, from logic model to physical model. Be better use UML instead of ERWin because UML supports class / relationship while ERWin supports entitiy / relationship.
