Hotel Guest Tracking

Hi,

I'm very new to creating a database and I'm not sure how to put this database together. We currently have a generic database that really doesn't give us what we need and allows duplicate entries. I viewed some the the threads regarding the hotel reservation database, but I only need a database to input our guests and potential guests (people who have contacted us for general questions and availability). It's really for marketing purposes. We would like to be able to track the timeline of potential guest to confirmed guests, how they were referred to us, if they came from a travel agent, and how much income did a certain travel agent brought during a time period, repeat guests, and etc. If all goes well then maybe add some kind of reservation information attached to each of the guests reservation. Any thoughts or ideas would be very helpful.
