Relational database design

Hey all, I have just started a course on database/sql. Although I have experience in html and some other programming languages, I'm having trouble grasping the most basic concepts of databases. Since the course I am taking is online I have no one to help me other then my own research.

So I'm on my first assignment.. which is basically just getting the layout of a relational database using an ER chart.

After 2 days of reading and struggling this is all that I've came up with. I am getting very discouraged as I know I just need someone to actually point out the mistakes I'm making and to point me in the right direction. If anyone has the time I would very much appreciate any help you may be able to offer.
