on my server (domain name) every time i create a database it is prefixed with my username and an underscore....
so if i create the database "main", it will be created as "vasarab_main" any idea on how i can either rename this or fix it? btw: I am running mysql 3.23.45 and php 4.2.2

If you're on a 3rd-party hosting company, your chances are very slim... It's a setting they have, so that usernames are prefixed to all databases created by that user.
You can try contacting them about it, but I don't see a very good chance of them removing that.
