Wink Small Employee TimeTable shift HELP!!

hi i have a table called operator and has either one or 2 shifts
morning and evening, so at the end of the month i want to calculate the number of shifts an operator has done right?

do i need to create then 14 rows in the shift table? 2 for each day of the week

|shift_id| shift_desc_| shift_start| shift_end|
| 1 |Mon morning| 9 am | 1 pm |
| 2 |Mon evening| 2 pm | 1 pm |
| 3 |Tues morning| 9 am | 1 pm |
| 4 |Tue evening| 2 pm | 1 pm |
etc
etc
etc
whats the best way to do this?
