Still no closer to acheaving this
This was posted in the Access section and got no reply so I am going to try here
I am building a pretty complex database and before I start I wanted to know if I am taking the wrong approach to a problem.
I have 8 paper rolls on a single shaft
Each shaft will print the same start number and end number on each roll. This setup will never change.
Each roll has a letter A to H (but the numbers will be identical)
What I want to do:
Create a table: (Shaft) with the following data
I then want to print 8 lables with the same data with the exception that each lable will have a different letter. For example:
A 100001 / 103052 sr0001
B 100001 / 103052 sr0001
C 100001 / 103052 sr0001
and so on. (sr is for shaft reference 0001
The next shaft will contain the next sequence of numbers and also print 8 labels like above bit with the sr0002 refferance.
Can this be done AND can the print out happen automatically when you move to the next record (which will be the next shaft)
