Thumbs down Pointless posting these articles when they don't work!

The examples simply don't work because of typos and undefined functions. Devshed really needs to test this stuff before posting it.

Absolute rubbish otherwise.

care to elaborate on what functions don't work? or what functions are undefined? i use the code all the time in opera/moz/ie5+ with no issues. i'm the author btw - if there's an error i'll be glad to have it corrected.

Talking

Quote:
htmlTempArray[j].onmouseout = htmlTempArray[j].onblur = function() {
this.className = ""';
}
should be
Quote:
htmlTempArray[j].onmouseout = htmlTempArray[j].onblur = function() {
this.className = "";
}

Also if you don't have a hilight attribute in the form you get an undefined function error. IMHO a cleaner failure would be better.

I was mainly angry over devshed including the extra apostrophe - the typo. The code as presented does not work. The undefined function thingy was a very minor annoyance. My criticism is levelled squarely at devshed, not you the author. I thought the article was quite good.
