Parse error

Hi can anyone please help i have awebsite and when i put the url in www.getseohelp.com i get the error Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/getseohe/public_html/index.php on line 3
i have only had the site two weeks and i can not get intouch with the previous owner and i can not log on to the site.The code when i look in cuteftp in index.php looks like this. <?php

<td width="100%">&nbsp;</td> line three is where it starts <table ends autonumber1> if that is any help i dont know what all this meens if someone could please help thank you .
