Flash Newbie

I'm in the need for some advice/help. I am currently am involved with a guy that would like a website done for selling four wheeler parts. He talked about maybe having a movie on his site. He doesn't know a lot of web design so he basically meant a flash intro or whatever. My problem is this, I've never worked with flash before or even studied on it well I was in school. What all is involved in making a flash page? What all do I need?

Also I don't have the money to buy dreamweaver or fireworks. Or any other software program that would be involved. So basically what I'm thinking is that I'm screwed when it comes to flash coding.

Hi wizard210,

You would need a program to create flash movies (there are a few products are on the market, but Macromedia Flash is main one).
I presume you don't have a program to create flash files?

I'm sure I'm not the only person that could offer, but I could create something for your client, although there would be a charge for the work. Let me know if you're interested.

Regards

Paul

Thanks for the reply PaulArky. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do yet. Personally I don't think my client really needs a flash movie or anything like that for this matter. But whatever the client wants I'm willing to follow through on. I also don't know how he/she would feel about me subcontracting out work on the site. I have a meeting with him/her later in the week, I will discuss everything and see what is going on. I will def keep you in mind if the flash movie is still a go.

Further just for my future reference what do you usually charge for flash projects and other stuff of the sort. I'm asking just in case in the near future I need to subcontract out for some other work for a site.
