Flash objects - need double click to work
Recently on one of my sites appeared a difficulty. Flash objects with embedded links in them need to be clicked twice to work. This is also true for flash menu I use. This is happening only in Internet Explorer, not in Firefox or Netscape. And it seems to happening after last Win update, some sort of "frame" appear around flash menu with comment "Click to activate and use this control". Is this related to Active X commands? I enabled them all, even unsecured ones, but it is still happening.
URL How to revert it back? So only one click is enough... |

Well I checked my pages through and through but didn't fing anything.
In Firefox, Flock, or Opera there are no problems, but only in IE and only after it was updated. That is obviously issue with ActiveX security. |

Flash objects - need double click to work
Hi, this only happens on IE.
The story behind this dates back to 2004 when Microsoft lost a lawsuit to Eolas Technologies, who holds the patent for (Filed Nov 17, 1998). In simple terms, that is the patent for how ActiveX, Quicktime, Flash, the Sun Java runtime, Adobe, RealPlayer, and other such controls are displayed in a browser.
