Unhappy problem with flash and java menus

i am designing a web pager where i am using flash with javascript menus..

now menus are on left and the flash is just next to it....
now on mouse over it opens a popup menu and that menu is not comming up on flash .. cause flash is overlapeing it....

i dont know how to fix it...
please help....

Try layers.

i try not to use layes very much cause some browsers get funky with them. But if your using dreamweaver layers are pretty easy to work with. There is probably a better solution, but thats all i can think of.

you might want to read up on the <OBJECT> tag and see if there is a way to move objects backwards.

last, why dont you just make the pop ups in you FLA/SWF file. that way it's all in one file.

You can't do that.

You can't overlap DHTML layers with flash. Flash will allways come on top of them.

In newer browsers you can make flash background transparent and use javascript to control flash content but that will not work for all browsers.
