Am I right in saying....
I could use Apache to let people connect to my PC. So I could host my own site using my ip address.
*EDITED* also ive given up with php for awhile, untill ive finished "acquired" windows 2000. I will have aqquired it in 24 hours or so... any way awnser my apache qustion please. thanks Last edited by Tomoso : December 2nd, 2002 at 12:33 PM. |

There's a legal way to get Windows?
![]() But yeah, you'd need to keep updating your site's address with your friends, unless you have a fixed IP. You'd also want to get a domain name resolved to it. |

Yeah, you can go to your local software store.
Also, on the dynamic IP issue, go check out http://dydns.org/. I use them for http://4life.ath.cx/ and http://joesplace.mine.nu/. ![]() Cheers, Joe of 4Life ![]() |
