I am wondering whether there is another way of authenticating users to access certain web pages other than setting cookies and/or sessions.
Do cookies and sessions pose security problems? I am refering to user authentication in the application side. Any insights, ideas, suggestions, or comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Well I think there are two alternatives here. But, neither are are better then sessions or cookies. HTTP auth is common, and the other would simply be to authenticate the user on each page. But other then that I don't believe PHP has any other options.
