You had more time when you were in University? Hehehe... I find it to be the exact opposite... Only now on my Christmas holidays have I had a little more time, and that still isn't very much, as I'm busy with other projects.

What games do you mainly play when you have the time?

Hehehe... I think we're all techies... I know I am! And I'm also a gadget geek... as my girlfriend and my mother say: "Boys and their Toys!"

I came from an artistic/computer background. Starting messing with web development as a hobby, and after graduating from college with a business administration degree I got a job doing design work, and moved in the company to web design. So now I do it for a living.

123...

And what is more important, for educational purposes. Since I am teaching a non-CTEC web developing course in straight-forward CTEC center, I found my students very satisfied with fact that there is something different (php/mysql/apache) out there besides "standard" platform (asp/sql/iis)...

Cheers, Alex

I do this for a living and as a hobby and that makes it enjoyable.
I see what you were getting at, but you left out this scenario.

Cool Update

It’s now very definitely a 1 for me.

I’ve taken the bull by the horns and dumped my (very well paid) day job, company car, company mobile, pension, health insurance, bonus scheme etc etc etc

I’ve joined the ranks of the self-employed……….

I’m not a number….
I’m a free man!

I really enjoy thinking about all the posibilities that a programming languages gives you, and PHP is a great one. To me it's a pleasure to work with.
I think that in the near future we'll have some superb IDE with debuggers, just like the Visual Basic ones. May be it is not yet mature enough,... but its getting closer to some of the "serious" programming languages.
