Question Are you a student, proffesional or hobbyist?

Just out of curiosity,

How many people out there do this stuff for
1. a living
2. are studying it at school, college or uni
3. it is your hobby

Ill start - I am a student at uni but love coding - so 2 and 3 for me!

2 and 3 I really enjoy coding and think of it as an art form. Alot of people consider languages to be an art so i think coding is, simple really.

1/3. I got started because I wanted to make my own site. I do our corporate intranet, many apps for the army, and i've done several websites on the side.

I'm a hobbyist only. Whenever you do something for a living, you cease to enjoy it as much.

1, 2 and 3... That's a first!

Unfortunately, I have yet to study PHP in school, but I do believe there's an OpenSource Web Solutions course available... It'll be interesting to see what's taught!

PS: Whoever said coding wasn't an art is completely wrong... Take a lookat JXL's answer, and you'll see why!

Talking

It's a hard way to make a living.
But I'm always looking to learn something new, better, whatever... as long as it gives me an advantage, or another tool to offer my clients.
p.s. don't everyone think i'm an expert, and start asking questions, cause i came here to learn...
