C# On Linux
Hi,
Did you ever think to program with C# in Linux? One of the objectives of the Microsoft.NET strategy is to allow software to be written for a variety of different platforms. Many people now consider it to be more open and accessible than the Sun's Java platform. Head over to www.go-mono.com and download necessary packages for your C# codes to roll on Linux box. Good News: ========= By the end of this year Red Hat will release its latest Linux kernel (2.6), which will support 64-bit architecture. That means, with the support of requred RAM, you can run the whole Google index server on your Linux Box. Which is now only possible by IBM's and Sun's High end servers. Not Very Good News: =============== Building GUI applications under Mono is still difficult. BUT WORK IS UNDER WAY. Please share your knowledge about the topic. Thank You, Regards, iahmed |
