Code to export from Doc Direct 2.3

One of my job duties is to open Document Direct 2.3 and export a file (to a different folder) with an .RPT extension that we later use in Monarch. I'd like to find some Visual Basic code that could do this process for me (ie much faster than me). For example, I could have the list of files in Excel and click a button that would scroll through the list, exporting each file to the specified location (a second list in Excel, perhaps). I do this once a month. The beginning of the filename is always the same. The end changes depending on the month and time the report is run, so I'd want it to find the most recent file where the first part of the filename matches the Excel cell. The other variable is the number of pages. In my manual process, when I open the report in Document Direct 2.3, I glance at the bottom of the window to see the number of pages, which I then enter before exporting, so I would want the code to somehow capture that number of pages. Does anybody out there have code similar to this?
