Confusion Reigns
being very new to php. mysql and apache, I have been reading most of the postings here and even posted two myself.
I have also read lots of the comments made for newbie's like myself. even tried to act on some of them. I have gone away and bought books, and yes not fully understood it all, gone to php sites and read papers on things that were along the lines of what I hoped to acheive with php etc. Then wow read comments from what I believe are also developers, mounting quite often scathing reviews on the article author. seems at a lot of these supposedly dedicated sites may not be worth the trouble of viewing if such contradictions exist. sure not for a newbie.
However I have read some requests for help here, and though at times replies do differ it seems that the end result usually finds the correct solution, why then don't these sites ever correct the missinformation they are giving out and at least post back something that does work.
I had searched for a good while to find an answer to a problem I had yet found the answer here within a few hours, for which I am very greatful.
Perhaps the ppl here should post more articles as well as help solutions.
Keep up the good work.
Kelley.
