Multimedia in .NET

I'm trying to migrate over to the .NET framework, but I can't seem to find a nice detailed listing anywhere on the web of all of the namespaces in the .NET framework (with descriptions, and yes I know there's a ton). Most specifically I'm trying to just slap together a simple little media player. With MFC I used vfw.h, which was standard in the include directory. Anybody know the equivalent in namespaces or where I can find a nice listing of all of Microsofts namespaces to find this?
