Can someone explain just the basic structure of what would be needed to write a Pic of The Day script. Nothing too fancy. Just asks you for the Full sized & Thumbnail size files on your Harddrive, the quote for the pic, name & url of the person who submitted it to you. The script would auto-upload the pics into a db.

You just laid it out yourself... You can have it done in a one-page script. Just be sure that when you're uploading the images, it's best to store the actual file in a directory, and just the file location in the database.
