Problem: Sessions and IE6

Hi,

We're using a login system with PHP/mySQL. On login, a session is set with the ID and password. In the main directory (pages like events.php, save.php, etc.), sessions work fine and all login-associated functions show the user to be logged in.

However, when visiting pages such as /articles/90/, the session does not work, and the login-associated functions show the user as logged out (articles/90/ is actually a PHP file in the main directory)

This only occurs in Internet Explorer, as we tested in Mozilla Firebird and it worked flawlessly. Any ideas?

Thanks!

If your privacy settings in ie6 are set at defualt (medium), and you are not appending the session_id on the links, and you have no compact privacy policy, that is your problem.

You need to append the sid on your links when users do not have cookies enabled, also you need a compact privacy statement to be able to set cookies in IE when users are browsing at that level.
