The above screen show my attempt make a hello world program run on a server remotely. The server is running Debian Linux.. Please HELP me to run the simplest program... When i type "test" as command, it display nothing. |

I'm not a C/C++ programmer, but for what it's worth, I get the same thing on my Mandrake system. I tried changing the program around a bit too and continued to have the problem. Maybe something about the stdio library, though you'd think basic functionality like cout would be pretty portable. I'll be interested in seeing what dumb mistake you and I both have apparently made.
