Hello, all!
I need a PHP script that will check a site for broken links. I'm sure there is something like this out there. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks! |

Take a gander at http://members.lycos.co.uk/phplinkchecker/, which I found by typing "PHP link checker" into google. I haven't evaluated the software. If you try it out, why not come back here and post a quick review for others who might be interested in such software?

I checked out the link you provided, but it is not longer available. Through Google, I checked out the cached copy and found out about the WC3's link checker. I had forgotten the WC3 web site had one readily available!
So, I used that and it works very well. It even reports on things like Javascript links (i.e., javascript:window.open()). It looks like this is it for me. You can check it out here: http://validator.w3.org/checklink Have fun! |

Found another link checker. Quite interesting and different from the WC3 one.

Nifty. Thanks for reporting back. Another (non-PHP) product that's pretty good for link checking is called Xenu. It's a Windows app.
