using explode

Hi.

I do have a string , etc: "I am a newbie" and i would like to break it into "I", "am" ,'a',"newbie" ... based on the spaces in between the string. I do understand that I need to use explode, can anyone show me how should I use it ..

$array_with_words = explode(' ', $string);



// or alternately



list($first_word, $second_word, $third_word, $fourth_word) = explode(' ', $string);
