Hello all,
I have a problem when configuring mySQL. I have two NIC cards inside my server computer (where mySQL, Apache and PHP are installed) and cannot change the defualt IP inside mySQL. I wish to connect to 192.168.0.3 - it is static and assigned by my router. mySQL automatically assigned the main connection IP address which I cannot access because of a firewall. I did some research and found that someone had successfully modified my.ini to get this to work. I tried adding the command bind-adress=192.168.0.3 to my.ini yet it didnt change the ip or the hostname. Any help you could give me would be most appreciated. Thanks for your time! ~N |

Firstly, could you please read the rules on posting, as 'help' isnt a very helpful title.
As for your problem, did you restart the database, after you made the changes? Im running two nic cards in my pc without a problem. |
