phpMyAdmin problem
I've installed phpMyAdmin on my host but am getting the following error
Error MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) I've installed phpMyAdmin many times on various hosts before and never had a problem. I've checked a hundred times to make sure the settings are ok in the config file and everything seems to be correct. Looked at the documentation and the only reference to this error is regarding redhat and changing the php.ini settings but when i run phpinfo.php the MySql socket is default '/tmp/mysql.sock' so i can't see this being the problem. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Most likely, the mysqld server isn't running.
