Validating Oracle Users
I need to verify oracle users. The existing security for an application involves every user of the system having an Oracle username and password. I've linked the sys.users$ table to my users table, but I still need to use oracle username and password. How can I validate an oracle user?

If anyone knows how oracle does this, I'd also like to know. What are the steps that SQL Plus executes when trying to verify a user logging in?
