Activator class start method did not called

I have import the org.eclipse.ui.plugin.AbstractUIPlugin and override the start method of AbstractUIPlugin class but this start method is not called.

My Class that look like this

public class Activator extends AbstractUIPlugin {

// The plug-in ID
public static final String PLUGIN_ID = "perceptive.imagenow.forms"; //$NON-NLS-1$

// The shared instance
private static Activator plugin;

* The constructor
public Activator() {

* (non-Javadoc)
* @see org.eclipse.ui.plugin.AbstractUIPlugin#start(org.o sgi.framework.BundleContext)

public void start(BundleContext context) throws Exception {

plugin = this;

* (non-Javadoc)
* @see org.eclipse.ui.plugin.AbstractUIPlugin#stop(org.os gi.framework.BundleContext)
public void stop(BundleContext context) throws Exception {
plugin = null;

* Returns the shared instance
* @return the shared instance
public static Activator getDefault() {
return plugin;

* Returns an image descriptor for the image file at the given
* plug-in relative path
* @param path the path
* @return the image descriptor
public static ImageDescriptor getImageDescriptor(String path) {
ImageDescriptor img = imageDescriptorFromPlugin(PLUGIN_ID, path);
if(img == null)
img = imageDescriptorFromPlugin("perceptive.imagenow.plugin", path);
return img;

private static final String CURRENT_LANGUAGE = ResourceBundle.getBundle(perceptive.imagenow.confi guration.Messages.BUNDLE_NAME).getLocale().getLang uage();

public static String getCurrentLanguage() {

public static void updateLocale(final String language) {

MyPluginClass.myplugin.getWorkbench().getDisplay() .asyncExec(
new Runnable() {
public void run() {

Due to the start method is not get called the plugin is not initialize.

So please help me to find out why the start method is not get called.

Thank You
