file conversion

Hi,
I have the following file formats: word, wordperfect, rtf and txt

I need to convert these formats to the following: SGML, XML, HTML, PDF.

Can something like this be done using Java? It needs to run on a windows machine.

If yes, could you direct/give me some information on how to do this? I am relatively new to java and any help would be great!
