How to open xls in java

Hi. Im new here. Sorry for my English.

I have a problem. Im doing a aplication in java. I must open word or excel document and take table from it and print it on my aplication window. Im programing in java for a month mayby so i need help. Pls ... someone can help me? Some code ... some simple program working which opens xls and show table from it in java aplication. .... Thank u very much for all posts.
