Java IO text interface

Hi everyone,

I am in a computer science class and this is my first time posting to any forum for help, hope you guys can help me out. I am still having difficulty understanding how to create OOP with types that are made from classes. For example, making a file object from a file class. Anyways, the program I have to design will ask a user to choose options such as locating a file, list contents of file, locate files with a given extension, etc. I am basically very confused with classes I should make. Would it make sense to have a main class that just runs the program(FileIODemo) and then another class that holds all the options(Options) which will be part of the file object? Also, how exactly do I put two and two together.

I am not trying to look for someone to give away the answers to me, if anything I am trying to understand this on my own anyways. I just am a bit confused with the concept of creating classes that work with each other.

Thank you for your guys' time and help!

~EmBeKay
