What IDE Do You Use??
Hello everyone! I am doing a project for Java II and I am trying to get some real world data on what people use for IDE's! Your answer would be greatly appreciated!
Do you use Eclipse, JCreator, NetBeans, Or just good old NP++/JGrasp??? Thanks!! |

Eclipse!
Good old command line + vim as well some times.. But that's hardly a IDE.. |

Back in school we were encouraged to use Borland's JBuilder... but many of us chose NetBeans instead... Nowadays I would prefer Eclipse, but my workplace has bought licenses for Oracle's JDeveloper.
I used to like command line and a text editor, but nowadays with all these frameworks and repetive code, it's better to use an IDE. If you're learning in school though, I strongly encourage the command line compiler and a text editor!

Thank you both for your input. I have to ask for your permission to quote your responses in my paper (to avoid being a jackass) so may I?

I don't have a problem with that. Just correct any grammar or spelling mistakes I might have made... don't want to sound un-edu-ma-cated.

Sure, good luck with the paper. Will you post it (or a reference) here?
