connect to database
hi! how do you connect to a database with javascript?
i want a script to populate my combobox. somebedy posted the same question but it's still unsanswered. please help. thanks

I don't think its possible via JAvascript.
It would be a huge security flaw to present your userid and password to the database to everyone on the internet... remember that Javascript is visible to everyone on the internet. You might be better off using a server-side language such as PHP, J2EE, ASP.NET, Perl, and many others.
