File size....

Hi all,
I have a page with the file tag.
On submit, I wanna check the size of the file irrespective of what the type of the file is. I can do it using Image type provided it is image format. But how about other.
and just another thing , I use Netscape 6.2 and I need compatibility to it.

As far as I know, this can't be done client-side.
