Other - How to capture Audio Data from microphone.

Is there any way to capture the audio data in pure HTML and Javascript. I've searched on web for a while but couldn't find any solution.

actually i have a PHP page which is having HTML code in it....and i want to capture the audio data from the microphone and want to send it over the tcp socket.

Any other suggestion if i can use php to capture audio data.

Thanks in Advance......

I realize this is an old question, but it's still relevant, so here's a suggestion. Until HTML5's getUserMedia() is implemented, your best bet is Flash. If you want to avoid a clunky media server back-end, you'll have to sacrifice a little bandwidth. There is a solution that uses an HTTP post to send data from Flash to your favorite server-side scripting language (including PHP)... just Google "wami recorder."
