JavaScript is a programming language used to make web pages interactive. It runs on your visitor's computer and doesn't require constant downloads from your website. JavaScript is often used to create polls and quizzes.

Bad Option

Hi ammejohn10. actually it is not a good option connect your javascript with database because it can lead to so many errors and security threats. Because javascript is a client-side language which is generally used for validation only.
You should use some server side language like PHP, Dot Net, Java, Python etc.
But still because you are asking so I am posting the connectivity of SQL server.
var con = new ActiveXObject("ADODB.Connection") ;

var connectionstring="Data Source=<server>;Initial Catalog=<catalog>;User ID=<user>;Password=<password>;Provider=SQLOLEDB";

con.Open(connectionstring);
var rrs = new ActiveXObject("ADODB.Recordset");

rrs.Open("SELECT * FROM table", connection);
rrs.MoveFirst
while(!rrs.eof)
{
document.write(rrs.fields(1));
rrs.movenext;
}

rrs.close;
con.close;
