I am having a problem with JavaScript(involving cookie handling) not working on Windows 2000 Professional machine running IE 6 SP1 but the same javascript works on a Windows NT machine running Internet Explorer 6 SP1. In both the machines, both javascript and cookies have been enabled.
Can someone tell me what can be the problem and how can it be solved. Thanks. |

Spyware, maybe?

I thought so and used 'AdwareHunter' and 'XoftSpy' to scan and remove all Spywares and Adwares from the Windows 2000 Prof. machine, but inspite of removing all these, the problem still persists. Can there be any other reason for this problem? |

Try installing Mozilla/Firefox and using the js debugger to see if you can turn anything up. Since the stuff runs on one system, it doesn't seem likely that there's a js problem, but you never know.
Since you can't uninstall IE and reinstall it, I guess you'll have to reinstall the faulty system if the js still won't work. Or just switch to Firefox. |
